The high professionalism, experience and know-how of great value have allowed MIE to become an important education provider in Italy and among the most established and extended in Europe: 2 locations on the island of Malta (one in Santa Venera and one in Gzira), 2 clinical centres CCFO MALTA ICOM in Italy, specifically in Cinisello Balsamo (MI) and Catania.
Malta ICOM Educational’s leadership is confirmed by the various active study programmes: Osteopathy in Italian, Physiotherapy in Italian, Physiotherapy in French and Dental Therapy in Italian.
OUR STORY
ICOM school of osteopathy was founded in 2007 in Cinisello Balsamo (MI). The didactical project in Osteopathy also involved the Bassini Hospital and relied, from the beginning, on a partnership with the English Osteopathic Institute Nescot to award the Degree in Osteopathy, with the aim of providing all its students with a valid and expendable qualification in Europe.
In 2015, the partnership with Nescot became even stronger with the birth of ICOM Osteopathic Department at Nescot (ICOM’s London office) and the acquisition of a 50% stake from the academic and financial arm of the British company. This development allows Italian students to obtain not only the English Degree in Osteopathy, but also the professional qualification in the UK.
Between 2016 and 2017, ICOM was completed with the opening of three more offices in Italy: Naples, Perugia and Milan, bringing the total number of offices spread across the country to eight.
In 2018, ICOM completed its growth project – also following England’s decision to leave the European Community – by becoming an H.E.I. (Higher Education Institution) in Malta, assuming the name Malta ICOM Educational (MQF Licence 2018/023), and starting to award its own Academic Titles.
